Speaking in Tongues — 1 Corinthians 12:10

* Some cults practice “speaking in tongues” when in fact they are doing nothing except insulting Jesus Christ.  Jesus is not a genie in a bottle. He does not jump at your command. Instead, God chooses when and if He speaks through a person.  Cults who practice deception in this gift do the commanding.

Also, here is another way to test the spirits to ensure they are from God and not satan:  Although it is true that “speaking in tongues” is a Godly language wherein the Holy Spirit takes over and speaks a message.  In all circumstances the “speaking in tongues” is immediately followed by an  “interpreter” (a different person who spoke in tongues.)  Also, during the time the Holy Spirit is speaking, there is no sound, not even the rustling of the tree or a cry from a child who may be present.
